WHO WE ARE

We are new media storytellers with a philanthropic commitment to validate and inspire the broken hearted to transform their pain into creative expression instead of self-destruction. We believe that by taking away the stigma of depression we will lower suicidal ideations associated with personal adversities.

The Storytellers

WHO ARE YOU?:
You love digital media–YouTube, Vice, LipTV, Vimeo everything that involves documentary visual storytelling.

You are an avid fan and practitioner of short form documentaries.

You love interviewing people about love loss–You have a curiosity for people and what’s beneath the surface. You aren’t afraid to ask the tough question and get confronted by awkwardness of the human social interaction.

You know how to film, shoot b-roll, interview, and video edit on Adobe Premiere.
You aren’t afraid to take directions, give directions, and create new directions.
You love looking for your own stories, determine what’s compelling, and go out and do it.

You are a filmmaker and Storyteller at heart.

We are looking for someone who knows how to tell a good story and is committed to going from pitch to production to publication with us.

BUILD YOUR DEMO REEL WITH US!

Filmmaker:
1. Finding an artist you like who could be a good fit with our platform (Artists who have transformed their pain into their passion)
2. Securing the interview
3. Crew-up to do the interview (you’ll be resourceful & team savvy)
4. Post-production –We’ll show you the 6 Cut Deliverable methodology on Adobe Premiere.
5. Publishing it on the backend of our digital publication.
These are all essential skills we’re looking for in a candidate who wouldn’t mind learning and challenging oneself as a multimedia storyteller.

Skills Requirements:
1. Your own camera equipment or knowing how to procure equipment.
2. Ability to video edit on Adobe Premiere.
3. Internet Connection and Working Knowledge of WordPress
4. Working Knowledge of these social medias: Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

 

 

Work Hours Commitment:
10-15 hours / week + 1 fifteen minute Team Meeting.

Compensation: Digital & Print Royalties

You love to write & Journaling is just something you do on a regular basis.
You are curious are people and are not afraid to reach out.

You love learning about pitching. You are not afraid of making mistakes and learning from them.

You admire the greatest journalists out there–their keen listening skills, the ability to move the conversation or allow the conversation to move you in a go with the flow, stay in the moment wonderment.

You also love writing. You keep a daily or weekly diary.

The Love Story is seeking seasoned interviewers and writers who would love to pitch their favorite artists and secure an interview with them. You, alongside a team of camera operators/filmmakers, will go onsite to film and interview the artist and produce a short documentary reflecting their pain to passion journey.

 

Work Hours Commitment:
10-15 hours / week + 1 fifteen minute Team Meeting

Compensation: Digital and print royalties

Do you want to create the next adult coloring book with your illustrations and graphic concept? We’re looking for someone who is highly skilled in graphic design and illustrators.

Adobe InDesign and Illustrator a must.

Contribution is based on Royalties from the Lifetime of the Book.

The Production Team

You love events, artists, authors, workshops, and everything outdoors that compels us to connect with others.  You love reaching out to relevant publications to write our press releases and spread awareness for our cause.

 

 

Work Hours Commitment:

Compensation: Commission based on performance

 

You’ve done a few fundraising campaigns, Go Fund Me, or Indiegogo campaigns. You believe in our cause. You believe we can collectively affect change. You don’t mind pounding emails, FB, Twitter, and other social media outlets to raise awareness for movement or picking up the phone to speak to a stranger.

Volunteer Hours Commitment:
10-15 hours / week + 1 fifteen minute Team Meeting

Compensation: Commission based on performance

WHO ARE YOU?:
You love live event production–concerts, workshops, seminars, the whole nine.
You love coordinating with people, putting different moving parts together, and have the type of mannerism and charm that attracts people to participate in our events.
You are an avid researcher and natural location scout–You can source the best deals and negotiate the best deals when needed.
You have a curiosity for people and what’s beneath the surface.
You aren’t afraid to ask the tough question and get confronted by awkwardness of the human social interaction.
You are multi-talented. You know what makes a good party a good party.

Event Producer’s Role:
Coordinate with artists, artist managers, artist PR to produce the live show.
Negotiate with each sponsor for the optimal fundraising package.
Secure who can provide venue for the event.
Coordinate with Event Marketer to bring in people to the show.
Secure a time and schedule to the event.

Qualifications:
Experience in event production and hospitality.
Ability to negotiate multiple deals with sponsors
Ability to market to the right audience members.
Keep costs low and revenue high.
Budgeting and scheduling.
Creative in the theme of this live production party.

Grant Writers

You are a great writer who wants to utilize your skills for social good.
You are interested in philanthropy for providing inspiration and hope to the broken hearted.
You believe that most of people who are going through grief, loss and depression can benefit from journaling.
You want to make a positive difference to those who are suffering from deep pain by delivering programs that validate and inspire people to transform their pain into artistic expression.
You believe in the power of storytelling to empower others to make positive change in their lives.

Job duties:
You will be working with the program director on creating grants that provide projects that will create outreach with high school and college students.
You will be coordinating with the program director on researching potential grantees.
You are financially literate when it comes to budgeting and forecasting.

Stipend:
Stipend is performance based.

Digital Marketing: Familiar with YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
