I’m a 3rd year film student at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. I’m from Fairport, NY and I will be graduating in May 2018. My passion is filmmaking in every aspect, but I specifically love writing, directing and editing. I have made a short experimental documentary called The Astronaut and a short narrative fiction called Cleopatra in the last year. I am currently writing my thesis film which will be another short narrative fiction film that I will begin shooting in September 2017 and finish in May 2018. Telling stories is what I love to do and I hope to one day write and direct my own feature films.
I currently work at the Film and Video Cage at RIT, which is our equipment rental facility for the School of Film and Animation. I also do some freelance video work on the side for Sofar Sounds and local bands and artists. Last summer I had an internship in Genoa, Italy for a multimedia studio called Tstudio. There, I did a lot of videography and editing for client videos.
On the side of filmmaking, I love art of all forms. I love drawing, painting, and listening to music. My favorite bands are Nirvana, The Wonder Years, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Pink Floyd. I also love watching movies (of course). I draw a lot of my inspiration from films like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Winter’s Bone, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and It’s Such a Beautiful Day
