The Love Story behind “Letting You Go”

About Julia Price

This New York native singer/songwriter is a regular performer at Austin’s SXSW and LA’s notorious Hotel Cafe, where Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, and Katy Perry all launched their careers. Her self-released EP, “Stories Between the Avenues” charted in the top 50 releases on the iTunes pop category and a number of her songs were featured on Bravo’s “Miss Advised,” where Julia was a regular character on the show. Julia has worked on a number of campaigns with multiple Fortune 500 companies, composing original music and content that is both unique to the brand and on point with her messaging.

“So sometimes with the writing process, it’s like, ‘okay, I’m not really going there.’ …I’m saying things that don’t really resonate with me, and I have moments when I was writing in general where I would just break down and cry. Frustration was a big thing because I wasn’t able to express what I was going through the way I wanted to cause I had never gone anything like that. And I wasn’t talking to people about it.”
