This is an interactive journal
It is designed for you to journal from Pete’s experience, also known as “Artist-Inspired” journaling.
How it Works:
1. Pause at moments when the story resonates with you.
2. Pull out a notebook and begin journaling. Free write distraction free for as long as you can. Pause and Play at your leisure.
3. Towards the end of the story, there is a journaling prompt for you to reflect and answer.
4. Go to the last 20 seconds of this video for the journaling prompt.
Three ways of Journaling
A) Write down what the artist said that you can relate to and start journaling.
B) Respond to the Journaling Prompt at the end of the interview.
C) Respond to the artist quote that we have chosen for each interview.
Journal for 15-40 minutes uninterrupted.
“And then that moment of catharsis when I lived in the moment of the song…whatever had its hold on me…I was starting to break free.” –Pete Kronowitt
Singer, songwriter and music producer, Pete Kronowitt, lost his little sister to suicide. In the thick of grief, he began strumming on his guitar, writing lyrics, and processing the loss through song. Inspired by the diary entry she left open the last day she was alive, Pete wrote “The Perfect Day” in honor of his sister’s perfect day.
“Whatever it is that you can control, it’s the path to get out of that cycle of depression, and for me it was that song.” -Pete Kronowitt
If you were living in the moment of your song, what would the title be and why?
