This is an interactive journal

It is designed for you to journal from Ty Bates’ experience, also known as “Artist-Inspired” journaling.

How it Works:
1. Pause at moments when the story resonates with you.
2. Pull out a notebook and begin journaling. Free write distraction free for as long as you can. Pause and Play at your leisure.
3. Towards the end of the story, there is a journaling prompt for you to reflect and answer.
4. Go to the last 20 seconds of this video for the journaling prompt.

Three ways of Journaling

A) Write down what the artist said that you can relate to and start journaling.

B) Respond to the Journaling Prompt at the end of the interview.

C) Respond to the artist quote that we have chosen for each interview.

Journal for 15-40 minutes uninterrupted.

“I’m from the South. You either go to college or you go to the military, for the most part, so I got a lot of friends who went to the military instead, and I was about this close as well.” -Ty Bates

Ty Bates is a country singer, touring and producing hits for over a decade. He opens up to Love Story about the songs that reflect love and loss. His songs, “Best Seat in the House,” and “Hero,” are tributes to the brothers he’s lost along the way.
